Probably could have asked $100 more and still sold that day

I'd still like to get my hands on one. The OE Cobra intake just looks badass to me.

I just sold a -BA Explorer yesterday for $250, but I did include a polished 5.0 cover plate and a 1" phenolic spacer I had that I would never use anyways. Also, it was powder coated red and all the mating surfaces were cleaned up for installation. A guy and his buddy drove about 2 hours from San Fransisco to come and get it and took it at asking.

Obviously, this is one of the more expensive areas and fox parts are thinner here than elsewhere.

$250 plus 4 hrs in the car? Damn.

At some point, I wonder if the supply of cheap junkyard explorer motors dries up. The newest one is 17 years or so, at some point they will mostly be junked and crushed.

I’ve womdered if it’s worth grabbing these from the local yards for flipping.

There aren’t that many left here in ABQ. Everytime I went to our pull and pay the Explorer intakes/engines were always taken. I felt lucky to get one of the intakes when I did.

The shipping still kills you. I'd imagine $30-50 depending on where. For the straighyvoff the truck intakes I still see $150 shipped on eBay. That's about the $100 locally I usually see

The cleaned up ones go for more from what I see

By the time you go to yard, pull them, clean up, list, sell, pay fees....what do you make? $20? Just not worth my time imho

I’m still holding out for that one day, when @karthief finally let’s go of 1 of the 50 or so Tubular GT40’s he’s got stashed

If he's sitting on 50 of those, we will roll him together.

Seriously, it'll be easy. I'll hold up something shiny and you toss a bag over his head.
