The only 2 legit reasons are if its a show car or just has too much torque even starting out in 2nd or 3rdI dont think it has anything to do with the price of the car.
Salt washes off and so does mag chloride, I wouldnt be too afraid of it, mag chloride only affects rubber short term, if you wash it off within aprox 48 hours it wont hurt metal or clearcoat too much.
you havn't been around here in the winter time... they go nuts with the salt, theres always snow on the streets ussually just gooves worn to the cement on main streets, even then there is salt on the street, i drove the cars last winter, and 8 inches ain't that much snow, around here any way. i can handle the mustang in the snow, i'm more concerned about the other people around me that are driving.
I dont think it has anything to do with the price of the car.
