When is your Mustang hibernating?

mines a daily driver, most Ive driven in was 8 inches of snow, its um interesting... Honestly I think most people garage them because they cant or are afraid to drive them in the snow.
The only 2 legit reasons are if its a show car or just has too much torque even starting out in 2nd or 3rd I dont think it has anything to do with the price of the car.
Salt washes off and so does mag chloride, I wouldnt be too afraid of it, mag chloride only affects rubber short term, if you wash it off within aprox 48 hours it wont hurt metal or clearcoat too much.

you havn't been around here in the winter time... they go nuts with the salt, theres always snow on the streets ussually just gooves worn to the cement on main streets, even then there is salt on the street, i drove the cars last winter, and 8 inches ain't that much snow, around here any way. i can handle the mustang in the snow, i'm more concerned about the other people around me that are driving.

Mine will be going in storage shortly. I am going to keep it at work so i can work on it. I am a mechanic so i can just pull my car in the shop, thow it on the lift and install what ever parts i buy

You guys think YOUR summer is short? I just got back from korea in July. I havent really driven my car in the last 2 years.

The last time it snowed in alabama.....Martha was innocent. Besides, i get to drive the 65 around with a broken heater. I don't want to hear anymore complaints.....

One or 2 more weekend drives then I will park it for the winter. May drive it once or twice this winter if we get a lot of rain to wash the salt off of the roads here on Cape Cod.

never, ill be driving mine all through winter

im keeping mine awake all winter. and Long Island winters can get pretty bad, but i dont have much of a choice. Im 17...cant afford to pay for two cars. My old man is in construction so hes off all winter so i figure up to 5 in. ill be ok and any more than that school is closed and i can use his pickup for work.

i can handle the mustang in the snow, i'm more concerned about the other people around me that are driving.

i feel the same way, but on the up side.....My car has a bunch of rock chips already. if someone hits me its only a reason to repaint it and put on a cobra bumper out of someone elses wallet.

Whenever it snows, as soon as it snows and salt is on the ground it doesn't see light until sprring when there is a heavy rain to wash the salt off the road.

Same here.

My Mustang stays home when the first salt hits the road, and stays there until a good heavy rain washes it away.

Never. Hot cold wet dry... the stang loves it all.

Then again in California we only get 'bad' weather a month or two out of the year. If at all.

Use it year-round as long as the weather and roads are dry. No rain or snow use. Even in January we usually get a few clear, dry, sunny days with no snow on the roads.

Here in Alabama we dont see too much snow but we do get some occassionally. Mine stang stays in the garage unless the the forcast is for 0% chance of rain, snow. I long for the nice clear cool days and nights to unleash the beast. My 9lb Kenne Bell is pushing nearly 11lbs boost when it gets below 50 degrees cant wait!!!!

mid november for me. then my 2000 ford contour v6 5spd with a bad syncro comes out to go skiing! I'll probably drive the stang in between snows though just to keep me from going through severe withdrawl.

I had put mine asleep about 2 weeks ago.. Key word is HAD.. I ws driving my 96 Sebring on the highway doing about 80 when the front drivers side tire decided to depart the car... Talk about nervewracking lol.. So the black beauty had to come from the garage.. Now I'm looking for another "winter" car..
