where can I buy a 9" posi clutch kit?

I am told that it is not available but I find it hard to believe that the most popular rear end on the planet has no rebuild kit available

First, which carrier do you have? Trac Lok or Equa Lock?

Trac lok is available most anywhere. Typically 50-60 dollars I believe.

Equa lock is available on ebay for approximately 80 dollars.

8" and 9" are the same for the traction loc.

how can I tell what one I have Trac-loc or Equa-loc? I believe it came from an early 70's Bronco 3.50 gear 28 spline unit - it is out of the rear end sitting on the floor?

If the area around the bolts which connect the two halves of the carrier are machined smooth, it's a trak loc. If the area is still a cast finish, it's an equal lock.

WOW, they do have a good selection and decent prices for 9" stuff!

so - do the trac-loc clutches have 5 ears or 4 ears? I would hate to order the wrong stuff - what else should I do - Is there a way to pack extra clutch plates in there for a harder hookup?
