Where can I find an RPM signal from the ECU?

Well im 99% finished with the wiring on my turbosmart Eboost 2, and the only wire I can use thats left is the RPM sensor wire. I emailed Turbosmart and they said , "An RPM signal can be sourced from your ECU. You will need to refer to a factory wiring diagram or if your running an after market ECU refer to the specific ECU's pin out diagram."

SOOOO does anyone have any idea where this wire is at? Or maybe a link to a wiring diagram? I was going to wire it to the negitive on one of my coils, but im guessing that it wont work. Im also very tempted to just tape the wire up and not use it.
Any comments are very appreciated. Ill also post in turbomustangs.com...im sure there are people with this boost controler over there too.

Thanks all :flag:

Just look on the injector connections. Each connector will have 1 red wire and one (X) wire. The red wires are a switched 12V + . The other wire is RPM signal. It goes straight to the ECU. Just choose the wire that isn't red lol. You don't need to splice into the ECU.

Awsome, thanks everyone! Looks like the - terminal on one of my COPs, that I had spliced into will work. That raptor install showed the tach light being wired into a signal wire from one of the COPs, but @ the EEC. Should be the same thing under the hood.

I was taking it as there was this common wire that every COP routed into.
And thanks J street for the link...that will definatly come in handy for me. :nice:

AB 281 gt I think I payed $479 for it from www.lethalperformance.com .
http://www.lethalperformance.com/pa...oost2-40-psi-electronic-boost-controller.html

But here is the AWSOME part....they had not got around to updating the price of the old E boost to the new E boost 2, as it had just came out....so when I bought it, it was listed as the E boost 2 but for like $479. Noone else on the web really had it yet, so i couldnt really compare prices....and the ones I saw, I think were for the regular E boost.
SO I bought it....and I get an email from the like the next day, saying that they had JUST discontinued the regular E boost (which is actually what I payed for), and said since I ordered in that transition stage, they were going to give me the new upgarded version (E boost 2) for no extra charge .

If you look at the link, they are now selling it for $598 now LOL, and it retails for over $838  . I got one heck of a deal on it. :)

Lethalperformce is an AWSOME company to work with....if you can go through the guy that helped me out. His name is Matt. He is also a forum member on modularfords.com (Matt@lethalperformance I think) if you want to talk to him.

^ What company are you going with?

BTW I went ahead and wired the RPM sensor wire into - side of the COP (multi coloured wire...NOT the fat red one) and taped it all up. So now im offically 100% done with wiring for everything on the car. (have to screw in my fuel pressure fitting to the fuel block that should be here tomorrow...but that really doesnt count lol)

I don't want to have to buy a pre-made kit, while it would be 10 million times less then headache. But I'm going with my own k-member, fuel system etc, so I will just need all the piping... I have a shop that may be able to do the piping, if not, I may just see if any of the companies will sell the hotside piping alone..
