Where is vent on C4 transmission

Hello all,

In another thread you all told me the problem was probable the vent on my transmission. I just now am getting time to look at it, but I can't seem to find it. I found an opening that is plugged (w/screw plug) and I'm thinking this might be it. I found a photo that looks like it might be the vent. Please let me know if this is it. What I'm thinking is it is right over the rusted round part. Is this the vent?

It looks like its on the other side on the tail section. It should have a little cap on it.

the vent is the little tube that points down just in front of the reverse servo cover.

That looks just like the C4 that i have sitting in my garage out of the car. The vent on mine is on the other side. In your picture, if you start at the rusted servo cover and move over the top, as you start going down the other side there is a little tube sticking up that has a cap on it that will rattle around. That is the vent. But, mine doesn't have that tube that yours has directly over the servo...maybe yours is newer, mine is a 1974, but they have the same bellhousing and body other than that tube.
