You are right about the convertible V-8 mounts. Just ask for replacements for those at any auto parts store and you will have the correct ones.

Yes they will work. Just order 87-93 convertible V-8 replacement mounts and you will be good to go. (The convertible ones are better because they come with a steel reienforcement over the non convertible mounts) Just make sure they are for the 5.0.

or go to the parts store and ask for mounts for any 93 - ford went with the interlocked vert mount design by then. i got the motor and trans mounts for under 50 bucks at autozone (for my 88 vert). you can get poly for about 3 times the price, if desired.

good luck.

Will bad engine mounts cause the car to pull to one side when the hammer is down? This is for a '90 GT.

Thanks in advance.

I got some anchor MM from autozone and had the most messed up time with them. Got them home, took the old mounts off, installed the new ones, went to bolt them up and the stock OEM nut would not fit. It's a peened nut and was the OEM mount had standard threads while the anchor bolt was metric. I am going to order mounts from 50resto along with new nuts.

bad mounts should not do that. they can allow excess cradle rock and some alignment or interferance issues (fan blade hitting shroud, etc).

id check suspension and trac lok, etc.
good luck.

Brother's Performance sells a really nice set of polyurethane motor mounts from Energy Suspension. They are a quite a bit tougher than a normal mount, but quite a bit more expensive for a set ($129). I use them and thoroughly recommend them.
