where to look on my t5 to find out what year it is.

hello, i pulled it out of an 87 and those are one of the crappiest ones. it has a yellow paint pen looking writing on it as if it were rebuilt or came from a junkyard. where can i get the numbers so i can find out what year it is. thanks.

there should be a little plate on the d/s of the tranny. if you search it might show up because i asked the same thing awhile back. try searching google or something too.

There should be a rectangular metal plate on one of the Tail-housing or Bellhousing bolts. Then your probably gonna have to call D&D so they can de-code it.

Only 2 ways to tell, one is if the aluminum tag is still attached to the tail housing you match that code on the D&d website. Other way is to disassemble the trans and see what kind of bearings,sycros, etc, it has in it. There are no identifying codes on the case.
Go to TTC.com and download the free assembly manual, it will help you identify the parts.

look and see if your little tag is there. if it is search here or google or somewhere for a decoder chart for the number off the plate.
