Which AOD/AODE?

What are the outer differences of the Autos in Fox body Stangs? I need to find out what kind of Auto is in my 88. So what do I look at on the outside of it to find out if it is a AOD or AODE? I'm lost on this so ANY help will be beneficial.

If its in your 88, you have an AOD.

The AODE came in 1994 +. Your AOD is controlled by a TV cable to determine shift points. Its attached to the throttle linkage on you TB.

The AODE is computer controlled for shift points.
