I've got 95 cobra that i am planning on getting the lower intake and heads ported on. Since i'm going to be pulling the motor i'm think this is the time to do some cam work if i ever want to.

Question is...What cam should i go with?

I'm looking for a better horsepower curve, not necessarily more peak power (though that be nice )

Any suggestions out there? Anyone running something similar? Is it even worth swapping cams? And what other parts need to be replaced if i do a cam swap? Already planned on doing new springs...

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

If you are running stock unmodified heads, there is no point in changing the cam. You are more likely to lose power.

I thought the Cobra already heady 1.6 roller rockers

Are you rebuilding the motor too? Is that why you're pulling it?

He said he's getting the lower intake and heads ported. And cobra motors should come with 1.7 crane ped mount rollers I thought?

Kurt

The 94-95 Cobra comes with Crane energizer 1.7 cast aluminum rockers from Ford.

chasenichols

And the good factory replacement off the shelf camshaft for the cobra with 1.7 rockers are Crower 15511 and Crane 2031 camshaft.

And both are over $350

Good luck
