i want to get new cam but i do not know which one...

E303 or F303 or B303??? i have heard E is great but i have also heard B is better and i haven't heard much about F cam tho???

i do not have that many engine mods...it's just basic cobra set up.

IN: Gt-40 head
cobra intake with 65mm throttlebody
cobra(crane)1.7 roller rockers and cam
SMR strut tower bar
MSD 6AL controller
Stall converter
MSD wires
AUTOMETER Z air/fuel guage
AUTOMETER Z oil pressure guage
NOS system w/purge kit
BBK cold air induction kit
73mm C&L MAF 24lbs
PRO M 80mm MAF
FORD racing 24lbs injectors
BASSANI headers
BASSANI w/3inch exhaust outlet slash cut pipe

Which cam do you guys recommend from FORD RACING???

i need your help. thank you always

If you're serious about the turbo set up, I'd leave the stock HO cam in there - works just fine with boost. If you must play with the cam, I wouldn't use any of the FRPP sticks. First choice is to get one of the custom guys to help you spec it; second is to look at CompCam's line of XE camshafts -- be sure to upgrade the springs on your GT40 heads no matter which aftermarket cam you use. Another good reason to leave the stocker in there.

Stock HO cam (5.0 High Output) The stock cam itself is a good cam. But like said if you must have a cam for your combo there are lots of other better cams then the old school letter cams. TFS stage 1 cam is a great cam.

i dont expiereince but id say its better then the frpp cams. I hadent seen your mod list. Id look into a custom cam, or a cam made for boost if your running the juice, and planning a turbo build. Im not the person to ask.

I ran an F cam on a basically stock engine. It was really fast, has lots of mid/top end to it, which you'd like if you're running such a high gear (4.11). honestly though, if you have 4.10, you'd be better suited for a high/fast revving engine. so I'd go with something different, maybe a crane cam/spring package. Comp makes more power, but crane is more reliable.

why? is frpp cams bad or something??? i don't get it.

and i went to comp site and i got really confused about lifts and durations and other math tests....

other hand i went to trickflow site and found only 3 cams for my application 5.0 302,

so my simple question is

I am running turbo next year and i want cam to be compatible with my set up now and will work when i install turbo later also.

so what cam is that? TFS? COMP? FRPP?

if anyone knows GIVE ME THE COMPANY NAME AND PART #.

thanks fellas

there is nothing wrong with the alphabet cams, but there are so many off the shelf cams that are better than them, your best bet is probably to get a custom cam, call someone up and tell them your combo and im sure they will set you up with the best cam for your combo

I have a B cam with 1.7 roller rockers in my car and I love it. There's nothing wrong with the alphabet cams. Get advice from people who actually used the alphabet cams, because most people just go by what they hear.

I have a bcam also, everything else is stock though. I like the cam, sounds amazing, pulls hard at 3k, and i ran a 13.5 with mods in my sig despite people saying the cam would hurt performance. I didnt put the cam in so I will be looking to put in a TFS stage 1 cam later on, but the letter cams are alright, for the price though theres so much better new technology then the old school letter cams.

And holywood, if your not looking into specs of the cams, and knowing exactly what you need, seriously just go to a site and pic a cam that looks cool and instal it. It seems like that is all you want and its not that easy. You need to find the right cam for your combo what you want, and what you plan to do. If you dont want to go through that, like i said just pick one because no one is going to give you a straight answer and say "get this one" unless you talk to a pro like ed curtis, etc.

it's sort of difficult to recommend you a cam. if you plan on turbo'ing next year, that opens up a whole other can of worms, how much boost, etc. If you put in a turbo stick now, it wont make so much power/mileage untill you tack on the boost. If you have stock pistons, go with a comp magnum cam. I have to go to school right now, but I can look up a part number for you. the important thing to know, LIFT MUST BE BELOW .514-.515 Unless you want to check piston to valve clearance. That's a royal pain in the ass. cams wtih .498 or so will do you just fine. more radical specs usually call for more radical heads/intakes, etc.
