Alright I have decided to go with a catted H-pipe for my magnaflow catback system that is already on my car......Which one do you think I should go with, and where should I buy it from (best price).....

WillDuhhBeast thanks I checked them out they are also mentioned in the new mmff...they look awsome I think I will go with that one....did you notice if your car got any louder after u changed from the stock pipe?

Yes, your exhaust note will be louder and have a more pronounced tone. Catalytic converters on performance/aftermarket pipes are often hi-flow and will allow for greater performance versus OEM pieces.

Yea, he's right. It got louder for sure. It changed the tone a little bit from when it was on stock mid pipe it seemed to be a little less deep, but more of a rumble and much louder. It got a lot louder. It sounds VERY aggressive now.

Fitment was PERFECT.

I got the catted MRT h and magnaflow

It's expensive but it's quality fit and finish

My friend just got a 03 Cobra and it has 2 cutted cats on the factory h-pipe and welded on flowmasters. He is unhappy with the sound. He can get a good deal on Mac stuff....cat back and prochamber. I think the prochambers quiet the tone too much.

I recommended the Magnaflow with a catted h-pipe. I am worried that the catted h may be too quiet with the magnaflow. What do you think? Also, does anyone know if the mid-pipe is the same for the GTs and the Cobras??? Will all99-04 mid pipes fit on the 03-04 cobra?

thats what I was worried about that the h-pipe and the magnaflow will be to quiet but I am not sure...also when I replace the stock H-pipe with the MRT catted H-pipe my check engine light isnt going to come on is it???

I have the mac catted h with the magnaflow catback and I love the sound not overly loud at crusin speed but at wot it is very aggresive sounding, I had magnaflow catted x and magnaflow catback on my 03 cobra and did not like the boat sound at idle, catted h and magnaflow catback has very lttle drone :nice:

So, on your 03 Cobra you did not like the catted x...would you say that if you had the catted h-pipe with the Magnaflow you would have like the sound? Also, do you know if the same h-pipe that goes on the GTs will go on the 03-04 Cobras. THANKS

It isn't as loud as many stangs are. To me, it's a middle way. You can drive normally to the point where you won't be noticed by 95% of the population. Or, you can hit it and you'll be heard. Once again, you won't be heard as far as someone with an o/r pipe and SLPs for example, but it is noticeable.

I would of liked the catted h on my cobra better, just my opinion, I like the old school throaty sound better than the boat like exotic sound. I guess the 4v cobra motor also does sound a little different than my gt's 2v. I believe the midpipes are the same for the cobra and gt, but I would check with the place you buy it from.
