Thanks for your tips guys. A special thanks to S-Car-Go for the ford powertrain tip, they have my solution.
I spoke to Stan (owner) of FPT, super knowledgable, precise and helpful. You'll have more ground clearance with thier long tube header than any others. For me it was with no restrictions, no adaptors and better quality 16 gauge construction (hooker who? with thier tin cans and street scraping collectors for big bucks). Sorry to bash but I'm still a little peaved at them and Hedman with their lawyer scripted responses to my basic questions. They had no intention of wanting to help out the customer to make a sale and were just going through the paces so they could get to the next call and likely not help him either.
Those big guys can really learn alot from a guy like Stan, maybe they'll buy him out and turn him into a millionaire which would be great for him if thats what he wants. I usally prefer to spend my money with the little guy anyway and as an added bonus FPT is right here in my backyard - in case of issues. Now granted they are not cheap either, $695 with ceramic coating but they are high quality, heavy gauge, no mods with the best ground clearance available for a total solution and likely the last headers I'll buy for that motor. I'll post the installed result in a few weeks.
Others that offered similiar solutions and were there to help and research are FPX, Accufab and JBA.
