Installing a Duraspark distributor with the tall 2 piece cap in my stroker 65' Mustang. I am also running a Holley carb, Stealth intake, and a dropped 14" open air cleaner.

Engine is a 393 stroker.

Will a straight Monte Carlo bar work or should I just spring for a curved one right from the start?

Ive got a big TFI distrubtor in mine and a straight bar will clear it.

Edit: I see on your sig youre running a 393. With the taller deck height of that motor you may need a curved bar, what motor mounts are you using?

I am using the 65' mounts which are supposed to be about an inch lower than the 66'-70 mounts. I have mine spaced up about 3/16" above stock for header clearance.
