I run Mobil 1 10W30 full synthetic and a Mobil 1 M-210 synthetic filter.

I found a 6 pack of Mobil 1 over at Sams Club for $28 and some change. That's as cheap as I've seen it around here.

I'm with Trout on this one. My '04 Escape takes the same oil and filter, so I buy in bulk.

Care to tell us why you feel Royal Purple is the best? Most of the tribologists out there will tell you different.

I have always ran Mobil 1 5w-30 on all of my mustangs with zero problems. Currently I run the Mobil 1 5 quarts and the K&N filter. It is pricey but I believe you get what you pay for. The K&N filter has the anti-drain back valve and you can actually see it inside the filter. It also seemed to help quiet the cold start ups.

I read somewhere (im looking for the link now) that someone ran a dyno comparison between regular and synthetic oils and they basicaly got more horsepower from changing to synthetic oil than they did installing a CAI on a stock GT. Consider the worms out completely...

not trying to open a can of worms. was there a big fight on here about royal purple?

back in my f-body days we used it on a few BIG hp power adder cars that i worked on.and all of the big HP cars i knew were using it. until i see a real world reason not to use it or recommend it then i will continue to.

all synths reduce bearing scuffing so any pure synth will be good, but i have seen tech articles written by people i have met and have great respect for that showed that royal purple did the best in preventing bearing scuff.

i am not going to argue again about changing your oil or what oil to use. if you disagree with me thats fine. then don't use royal purple, use mobil 1 or any other full synth they work fine.

I use Valvoline 5w30 SynPower. I change it every 5k along with Supercharger Oil. I've used Valvoline in everything I've ever owned and never had any problems. I also run pretty much synthetic fluids throughout the whole car, power steering, brake fluid, gear fluid. All valvoline. I thought about switching to Royal Purple, but don't know yet.

i read somewhere (not online so no link) that there was a test conducted by an oil distributor on how the different oils handle breakdown. the top two were Penzoil syn and Castrol syn. the Mobil 1 syn failed horribly, and Royal Purple wouldnt let them run the test

I heard somewhere, not online so no link that putting nail polish remover (acetone) in the gas tank will increase your octane by 4 points.

I'd sure like to see some independent verification of that statement.

Hell yes brother!! I am so damn paraniod about spinning a bearing in this damn motor, thats why I change it so often. Plus, It can't hurt in a high boost application like I am running. EXPENSIVE oil changes!!!! This crap aint cheap!
