which speedo gear?

I looked up the speedo gear on steeda and it says to use the red one for 3.73's but I also have the 160 mph speedometer. Do I still use the same one or is there another. Thanks

Changing the speedometer does not require a different speedo gear. They're all calibrated to indicate the same speed when the cable is spun at a particular rate.

If have a pre-1990 5-speed, you need the red, 21-tooth gear. If you have a 1990 or later 5-speed, you need to change the drive gear on the output shaft, as well as the speedo gear.

If you have an AOD, then you need a 23-tooth (white) speedo gear.

I got the 23 tooth white speedo gear (meant for 355's)...on my 1995 T5...it is accurate within 5mph I believe...
