Which Tach is off??

I put in an autometer sport comp tach w/ shift light, about a year ago. I have been annoyed for a while now, so I figured I would finally ask.

My stock tach always reads 100-200 rpms higher than the autometer. Is the factory tach just inaccurate, or is there a prob w/ the autometer?

Any ideas??

Stock tachs are notorius for being in-accurate

stock is off auto meter accurate my stock one is actually 200 rpm lower than what my autometer reads

My stock tach is 100-200rpm higher as well. Found that out when I dynoed the car.
