Which TB/Plenum???

I am ordering a few parts for my car in the next few nights and was wanting everyone's input on this. I am getting ready to order a TB/Plenum and was wondering which one is the best bang for the buck? I know Accufab's are good, but $400+ is steep for a throttle body and plenum. Current mods right now are an SCT tuner, Mac pro chamber, and weld in flowmasters. When I order the Throttle body and plenum I am also ordering the JLT cold air intake.

I've got a 75mm BBK on my 4.6L and am quite happy with it. Its not billet, but it performs flawlessly, moves the same amount of air and cost half as much.

Professional Products are good products. I have the plenum on my 03 and it works fine.

for the 98. Best plenum i've ever boughten is the BBK plenum (before they made that throttle plenum) and a BBK 75 mm throttle body with the bbk intake. Works great!!

Gears are out of the question for the time being. I am an Inspector at Nuclear Plants and I travel all over the United States and I will be using this car to do it. So until I find another vehicle to travel in, this mustang is it and I love cruising at 1900rpm

I got my 4.10s for $250 installed and then the cost of the SpeedCal...$100 if I remember correctly.

Well seeing as the gears themselves are around $150 or so, getting them installed for only $100 is very unusual. Did you know the installer personally? Buy the gears used?

You are the exception, but to just about everyone else, it's going to cost a lot more.

Consider not buying them. They are not worth it. You will most likely not notice a thing. I know it costs more but save for something else likes cams, that can actually make a difference you can FEEL.

The best mod you could do for a stock car would be gears in my opinion. Its one of the only mods besides a supper charger or cams that you will feel a big difference.

why do you people think gears are better, your engine doesnt make any power above 4800 rpm. Im running low 13s on stock gears, on street tires. Hell If I installed some better tires I would have ran 12s w/o gears. Gears are a dumb mod on a stock 4.6 SOHC w/o cams that can use them.

So tank your saying we should shift at 5000 with a stock car because we don't make any power past 4800? That's rediculous. I ran a 13.0 at 104 with bolt ons and without gears on street tires. If I would have had gears I would have been a 12 second car. Gear get you up to speed faster, so I don't know why you would not want them on a stock or bolt on car.

why is that dumb, its data? I just know the facts, why do you think cam companies want to install taller gears, gee I dont know maybe bc you need the gear to use the higher rpm range were your power is now DUH!!! or maybe thats why in cobras, the 05-11 and other higher reving cars they offered better gear sets. just crazy. I should be for talking bad about gears.

EDIT: remember im talking about a stock 4.6 SOHC PI/NON-PI here people
