Which Tires?? Need Today!

Well I was going to get some nittos at xmas but i noticed my tires are dangerously slick right now and I have a nail in a tire so..I'm going to get a new set today or tomorrow whichever. I want whatever is best for performance and street to replace my stock tires. What is the best one I can get for the money and what size can I go up to? I just left a place that had a Kelly tire that is v rated 245/40/17. I think it's "40". He said it is just a little wider than what I have on right now. $100 a piece. What do you guys think of that?

I had Kuhmo's on mine. They're not expensive, wear VERY well, and have really good traction in rain.

ripoff, get a decent nitto 555/yokohama/michellin/goodyear... 275(or higher)/40/17 for the back and 255/40/17 front... that would give you good looks in my opinion. http://www.discounttiredirect.com its where i got them from...

i love my tires. i need to get track only tires though. looking at some Michelin Pilot Sport Cups for the track.

Nitto NT555s, or BFg KDWs/KDW2s

Kumho Ecsta Supra 712s are the way to go if you want cheap but "Z" rated. Don't get the 711s...

After those I did spend the money and now have Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s that cost at least $200 a tire. But Kumhos aren't bad.
