Hello everyone. I was wondering which valve springs I should use with the F303 cam. I have windosr Jr. heads comming from a buddy but I want to replace the springs just so I know whats on them. Should I use all Ford Racing stuff so it matches or does it not matter. I got a part number of M-6513-A50 for the springs and M-6514-A50 for the reatiner set. What do you guys think?????

springs...

Those are a little lite on pressures for the F cam... Installed height on the heads will be 1.800 and you need approx 125-130 installed pressures... cool??
and the cost ( at least here) is almost 180.00 with keepers and retainers..
there is a conical ( bee hive) type out there that will drop in. By Crane, I believe... ( I have had to replace a few sets on customers heads , cause they broke!! FYI) I suggest a dual spring drop in type, so all the pressure isnt on one spring...Carefull when getting the dual springs... SOME need to have the guide machined for smaller PC type seals. OR... I sell a dual set/keepers and moly retainers for 135.00 to your door?? cool?? Just a suggestion....

Just me.............................

I have those springs with my FTI cam...no problems here...however, I don't know whether or not what Thumper460 said could cause problems that I am not aware of...due to the seat preassure...FORD RACING clamis 130lbs of pressure...
