whinning nosie in 3rd gear?

only in 3rd gear... depending where i am in 3rd, but almost sounds like a whistle. I have the cone K&n air filter, i thought that was it maybe? anyone else experience this?

I think I read here somewhere that if you are going have trouble with a T-5 3rd gear would be where it starts. So guess what...

I have straight cut gears, and they all whine all the time, nothing the drone doesn't cancel out. A friend loves the sound of the whine and drone lmao, he doesn't hear it all the frigging time though...

Did this just start? Did it do it before the filter?
