Whipple Supercharger .....

don't think anybody has one and based on things that have gone on with whipple, probably nobody ever will...or, atleast no time in the near future

It's crapola, they won't even answer my email.

I'm waiting, because I think it will be worth the wait. I spoke to them recently and they are just starting to clear some of the backlog that was caused by the Lysholm supply problem earlier this year. They said they will be out late December or early January (I'd bet on Jan considering how work tends to slow up during the holidays). The Whipple and the FRPP are one and were featured on the Dyno Drag Car anf Toyo Drift car at SEMA.
I'm sure you've seen the numbers thaey are advertising on thier website. I just can't wait until some of the aftermarket tuners get thier hands on one. Not to mention the fact that some performance oriented (rare) dealers will warrant them as long as they do the work. We'll see. I think it is a hard package to beat.

I absolutley agree, the last communication I had with Martin Stenback, CEO, Lysholm Technologies was October 24, 2005 and stated the following. He never did provide me with information pertaining to the specifics of the supply issues with Whipple Industries, and although he was prompt with previous emails I sent, he has not responded within the time frame he indicated in his last email.

So did Whipple end out finding another supplier for the supercharger? I guess it is time to send a follow-up email to Mr. Stenback. I would prefer Whipple's end product with Lysholm's S/C, but would have sought out a finish company for kit preps and final assembly, if need be.

The information I received was through Whipple not Lysholm. Whipple has been "less than forthcoming" in the past, but I'm trying to remain optimistic. The info you shared from Lysholm does seem to coincide with what I was told by Whipple, just last week. Lysholm is the only supplier for the Whipple internals, as far as I know. Autorotor is the only other twinscrew company out there (it is also controlling owned by Lysholm) and they supply Kenne Bell.
Whipple told me that thier supply flow is now back on track and backorders will take priority. They indicated that they will take new orders now, but admitted that they don't expect to fill immediate orders until January.

Agreed, no matter the platform, the most fundamental aspect is bottom-up reengineering and modification to ensure that the vehicle is able to withstand the increase in HP/TQ. I have no complaints on Roots S/Cs. I just prefer the TS engineering and how/where it delivers its maximums.

Who has released a single unit Driveshaft without the U-Joint for the 05?

BMR released a carbon fiber drive shaft, single unit I believe. It was on their site for a few weeks (few months ago), but has since disappeared...

I talked to Dustin at Whipple a month ago to the day. At that time, he said

"We have 2 systems, one with stock injectors that produces 425rwhp @ 8psi and one that creates 515rwhp with 11-psi and larger injectors, as well as a few other upgrades. We will release more information in mid november."

He also said that he hoped to have a unit available by late December. However, given that they have not been able to release "more information", don't hold your breath.

Try Mike @ PowerHouse. He sells them rated at 1000hp. That's where I got mine at.
