Today, a buddy of mine and fellow Mustang enthusiast told me that Whipple would be developing a twin screw blower for the 5.0 cars to try and get a share of the market that Kenne Bell basically owns right now.

Anyone else heard this or know if it's true or not?

I HIGHLY doubt it. Autorotor makes the "compressor" for both whipple and kenne bell, and has, at least in the 5.0 market, selected Kenne Bell to be its sole distributor. I'll be VERY surprised if this happens, but stranger things have.

I said that at one time, too. I sat around for a couple of years wondering if they were going to make one for Ranger's. It was always a rumor. BBK made one (Eaton/Magnacharger based) for the 4.0's .... but nothing for 3.0's. Well .... turns out ... it wasn't just rumors. Whipple came out with a kit for the 3.0 Vulcan. Too bad I sold my Ranger at that time .... but I modified an M-90 to work before that. It's being really successful, too.

All this to say ..... it is possible. Maybe we should contact them to see ......

Well, I've found the BBK one for 86-93's. It's still a bit pricey, though. I don't think a roots style blower would be that hard to adapt to the SN95. Kind of a weird set up, too. In conjunction with the blower, they also use the upper intake. Lets see if this link works ....

EDIT: N/m. That's the second one I found. It says for 96-95.

I really find this quite interesting that it's still available, since it doesn't advertise it on BBK's site...but I've heard some pretty impressive things about that supercharger...
