I pulled the valve covers to install a baffle under the oil fill tub to keep the oil from spraying out. I still get pressure blowing out the fill tube while running. The motor is seeing about 15" of vacuum at idle and the pcv valve is working. I pull the vac hose off the vortech bypass valve and there's vacuum at the hose. Could the valve be bad and cause this?? I wouldn't think so because there's vacuum at the intake. It has a bit of vapor/smoke that comes out the tube also. I checked all the rockers while the VC's were off. What else could it be??

PCV valves usually don't hold back forced induction. The pressure from the blower will pressure the crankcase.

From what I've heard it's caused by blow by, or in other words, leaking piston rings. Some of the gases slip by the piston rings and it creates a pressure that is released through that vacuum line to be reburned again instead of leaking out into the environment
yeah, and I don't understand why. I didn't have this problem before I pulled the motor. I didn't touch the pistons or rings when the motor was out, just swapped heads/cam and installed a main girdle/windage tray and 7qt pan.
Would valves not closing all the way (mis-adjusted/too short of pushrods) cause this? What about too much oil in the pan or bad lower intake gaskets?? I replaced all gaskets with quality ones and only have 6qts of oil in it. What about a bad head gasket?? My coolant and oil look fine though.
