Who all uses Nitrous?

Just wondering who all uses it and how much is a safe amount to use on these cars? They have Hyper....... pistons in them so do you have to stay to a small shot?
I am thinking of putting some on my 95 Cobra but not sure. What will be a safe amout? Any other things I should do first? Certain plugs to use? I have upgraded to a 255# fuel pump. Thanks for the info on this.

I have the hyper pistons. I have used a 125 shot so far. I have used a 150 shot on hyper pistons before with no problems. Get atleast 1 step colder plug, cap close to .035 and set the timing back. I have a 255 fuel pump.

Just make sure you do not get detonation. This is what kills any engine. I have been using Nos for over 5 years. 2 years on this car.

N/A I run 14 degrees of timing. When I use a 100 shot, I back the timing down to 8 to prevent detonation. Any more than 8 degrees and your gambling.

Everyone with a 94-95 car uses at least a 100 shot on the stock longblock and fuel system.

I have a buddy who used a 150 wet shot on his 95 Cobra with the stock interrnals as well as the stock fuel system. His A/F ratio was little lean but not dangerous. They say the wet kits run rich, and his A/F on the 100 shot proved that.

Look at some of the E.T.'s of the people here, some knock a full second off their times with a 100 shot.

if you have a stock car get the 75hp dry, kit #05115- shot that can be put on a stock car. you can keep your stock fuel pump but get a fpr to adjust the fuel some, but getting a bigger fuel pump wont hurt. this kit is very simple, has one armining switch and tha activation switch goes on the tb and only activates at w.o.t. to avoid any accidental low rpm activation and comes with a fuel pressure saftey switch. you can even use the stock plugs but betters ones while help(there not that expencive) and 92 or higher octane. alot of ppl advance the timing to 14 even with the nos but it worked best for me at 8.
the 75 hp shot droped me1 sec and 5 tenth so far constant. thats more than i expected from 75hp.
as you can see my car is mild mod with the stock bottom end and only use the nos at the track, 3-4 times a night, 1,2 or 3 trips (depending on the funds lol) to the track a month.

something that iv found usefull with nos on regular street-strip cars like ours(not a full blown strip car) is a throttle body enhancer. like on my nos kit that it only activates at full throttle the tb enhancer sends the computer a wot signal of the throttle at 70 %throttle to advance the air fuel curve before you hit wot. which will only only take less than half a second to go from 70% to wot but the computer will send max spark and fuel for a split second faster before the nos comes in. i see it as a saftey to avoid a lean condition.
