I need new tires... bad ! right now I am running 255's all the way around,
Kumho 712's, I am pretty sure I will get a set of Kumho MX's this time,
unless someone knows of a better tire for less $$$, anyway I cant decide
if I want .....
1. 275's all the way around
2. 255's all the way around
3. 255's on front and 275's in the back

tire racks price is $125.for the 275, and $117.for the 255... only $8 difference, so saving $8 a tire is not an issue. What are the advantages
and disadvantages of these combinations. Oh yeah, my car is not lowered
at this point in time.

I have Kumho 245's on the front, and Kumho 275's on the back..Only disadvantage is you dont want to rotate them from front to back..

I wouldnt put 275s up front. I have 265s and it pulls way too hard. id do 255 f 275 rear

On my 17x9s, I have 275x40x17s all the way around. IMO, 255s look too small on a 17x9 rim. As long as you have good alignment, it shouldn't feel any different than the smaller size - atleast I didn't feel any detriment on the front, and way more grip in the rear.

275/40/17's all around here too..... just make sure you have 275's in the back, no reason to go smaller, it helps with traction and gives it a more aggressive look with the wider tire.....

Larger tires have a tendency to hydroplane more than narrower tires. This being said, 255 on front, 275 on back. If you want to roate I would steer clear of 275's on the front. My BFG KDW 275's would find every rut in the road and follow it. Caused too many problems so now I run 255/18's on front and 295/18's on rear.

275's all around here...

originally I went with 255's up front and 275's on the rear, but I drive too many miles and need to be able to rotate them, so I switched to 275's all around...I found it drives and tracks much, much better with all 4 tires 275's

275's all the way around will look perfect.
I would consider Goodyear F1 GS D3's they are alot
better tires than the Kumho's.

I got 275's in the front on the 17x9's and 315's out back on the 17x10.5. Running the sumitomo hrtz's. Decent tire gives great feedback, decent wetweather traction, and very affodable.

I have the exact same setup... That being said based upon what you are considering I would definatley go with 275's all the way around... Aggresive look and you can rotate, best of both worlds. However I wouldnt trade my setup for any other combo, the price was worth its weight in gold as to how much it changed the car. As far as sumitomos go, I have to disagree a bit, the ONLY good thing about the tires is the price...

275/40YR/17 all the way around. no pulling issues at all. do my own alignments with a Hunter laser alignment rack. no rubbing issues.
