I'm in the middle of installing my summitt radiator (however said this was easy is FULL OF S H I T) EVERYTHING seems to be a problem. The biggest one is the CCRM. I need to move it, but I can't seem to find a sutable location for it. All the places I'd like to mount it I can due to the length of the wires. Any help is appreciated.

Shaun, the summitt rad is narrower, so the harness of the CCRM is right where the rad hose going to the thermostat is. I can't move the rad enough to clear it either. So I have to relocate it. This is such a PITA I can't even begin to tell you. I wish I had never spent the money on it.

Paul I relocated mine on the pass firewall. Go to the motor pics in my sig and look at the pic on the bottom of the page and you can enlarge the pic so you can see where it is mounted. Let me know how it goes.

JR, that is the ONLY place I found I can move it to. I was just trying to put it somewhere else since I just got down hidding all the wires on that side, along with the ignition control box. I guess I'll just have to put it there. How'd you mount it? I thought about using double sided tape since there is a big hole from where one of the rubber bushings from the stock air box was and that is right under where one of the mounting holes for the CCRM is.

I used one of the holes that was already there and then used a bolt/nut. I would also like to find an alternate spot out of site so let me know what else you come up with :nice:

I know this isn't much help, but I chose the Fluidyne route (even though my 1st one started leaking after 2 months) due to the drop-in installation. I've heard the Summit radiator doesn't have a petcock, is this true? Good luck, sleep on it and I'm sure you'll figure something out.

wow...i really didnt have much problem at all with my ccrm with my summit radiator. it is about 3/4" away from my pulleys but other than that, it all fits perfectly. i can take a pic if you want. maybe you got the thicker one that i got :dunno:

My CCRM is just sitting under my intake tube, right under the bend that goes into the fenderwell. Kind of a pain to get it under the AC line, but it can be done.

There's certainly nothing easy about this radiator, started to wish that I had just gotten a Fluidyne or something. I've had the thing zip-tied in the car since Sept., maybe I'll come up with a better way one day. :nonono:

Paul it actually reaches. I drilled two holes and bolted it on the frame. It's a matter of minutes. Well my wheels were off at the time. You have to take inner fender well off obviously which is pain in my book.
