Who is Procomp?

K, building up the new 5.0 for the new toy at my house. Got the rest of the setup pretty much dialed in, but, in my youth, I had a 55 Chevy, built SB with gear drive. I loved the sound of that bad dog, gonna duplicate it on this new 5.0. Just a fun driver, nothing racy or or DD or anything. The Pete Jackson is the normal piece, the Edelbrock I'm sure is good, too. But I found this Procomp, lots cheaper. I usually believe that you get what you pay for, so I don't use cheapo's. So anybody ever heard of, or had, a Procomp anything, good or bad?

I bought a ProComp 6AL MSD imitation and never installed it. When I opened the box the first thing I noticed was how cheap it looked...I mean honestly, it looked like it should have been sold in Toys R Us. It has something rattling inside the box, so I opened it up to find a screw floating around inside the box. I couldn't see any hole missing a screw....so I put it on eBay the same day. Can't say how well it worked...because I never used it.

Note: I was VERY clear in my auction that it was an opened and possibly not working ignition box, and the buyer knew it as I had conversations with him explaining every step of the way. Just figured I would point that out in case anybody was to think I scammed someone into buying my broken junk.
