Just replaced my heater core and now I have no heat, what did I do wrong. Should it work just after you hook up the hoses or do you have to pump air out of the system or something?

Also I have heard something about a reducer or a socket placed in one of the hoses to reduce flow, I didn't do this so how important is it and which hose do I put it in.

yeah, you will have to get the air out of it...but it shouldnt take that long. the restrictors you are talking about are a very good thing to have to keep the heater core from blowing out when you are getting on it. when i bought my car it already had them in it. check all your vacuum lines and whatnot to make sure that your actually pushing air through the heater core. i have that problem with mine. the heat isnt that hot if its really cold outside. but it gets hotter when the air outside gets hotter...?...dont know why
