Well the update today is, i called the police in his hometown and talked with a detective. He went to this guy's house to see what the story was and apparently the guy is going to be a lot more brisk in the shipping process then mentioned earlier Hopefully this made him think a bit more about taking care of his business. We'll see what happens.

Hope so. If not, make friends with the detective, so when you kill the guy he can get the charges dropped lol. Hopefully he gets on the ball, and hopefully they'll be here in time for A+W saturday.

Well unfortunately A&W is out of the question for me, because if were to get them for saturday they would have to be sent out this afternoon. The detective say's they were packed up and sitting in the guys hallway when he went there this evening. At this rate i won't be going to A&W or the cruise on the 19th. I guess it serves me right for doing business on the internet.
It was so sad, Wendy and I sat in front of the car (on cynder blocks) and just, well hung out with it. Finally my neighbor came over, saw the looks on our faces, and took us for a cruise in his 69 Impala. Chevy saved the day for me

"Indiana" just the guy i was looking for!

He lives in Nappanee, IN. He promised Thursday that he would ship today (friday) and have a tracking number for me. Well i haven't gotton email from him yet today, and i left my cell and home numbers from him to call. Not a word. I told him in yesterdays email, in response to his apology email, that i don't want apologies, i want my property to me, and i want it now. He said it would ship today, we'll see. Hopefully the cop shook him up a bit!

So what's the word John? Are we gonna go ass stomping or did he ship? I'm seriously considering going on a road trip with ya if needed, it'd be fun and justice would be served.

Caveman wheels. sexy. yeah, I hope your lawyer can get somewhere, although there never was a signed contract or anything, so it'd be difficult, plus there's no set value on the wheels, so there's now way to sue for an amount, and at best you'd go to small claims court. In my opinion, a boot in the ass would settle this far more efficiently. by the time you're done paying your lawyer, it'd probably be cheaper (and more personally gratifying) to go out there and get-er-done personally. Nobody says you have to do anything illegal (but you might want to), but I have a feeling if you showed up on his doorstep, you'd get your wheels, and if you then proceeded to threaten legal action, you might get more. I don't know, this is a suckass situation. I hope the guy follows thorugh, and tries to make good.

Damn, that is about 200 miles north of me. I was hoping he was close enough for me to go knock on his door.

There are a lot of Amish people in that area. Is this your guy?

Seriously though, that is a tiny little hick town, I would think that the local sheriff would have plenty of time to help you out. I hope it all works out.

I'm sure you already have it, but just in case. The Elkhart county sheriff's web-site:http://www.elkhartcountysheriff.com/

Yeah, no one said you have to kick any ass. Just show up on his doorstep, and just tell him your here to pick up your wheels, and if you don't get them you'll be back in 20mins with some cops.... Good luck John, hope you get through this soon.

Hey John. I found a set of the rims I originally wanted, the 99 GTs, from a friend. If you want to buy those rims you sold me back for the same price I got them, you can have them back. I'm not going to use them, but I need to put the money toward the new rims. Let me know.

Yeah Jesse, i hooked up with him on the Corral. This is turning into my worst nightmare slowly but surely. He's a complete s**tbag. Unfortunately i will have to take civil action.

John, a friend of mine bought the rims. He whacked a curb with his car, and was SOL. I didn't hear from you from the PM, and you had said earlier that you didn't really want to have to get them back, so I sold them to my buddy. Anyway, good luck with the guy, and if you need any help or anything, let me know. You missed a good A&W, this prick is really costing you more than a few weeks without your car, and I hope he gets what he deserves.

No problem Rob. Thanks for the offer. I left my AIM on all day by accident, thats why i didn't respond to you. They way i see it if i bought the wheels back i would still need tires. Unfortunately the most cost effective thing for me to do (though its far from cost effective) is to drive out there this weekend. I'll let you know if its a definate.
