If I was a man, the woman would go first. But, I'm female so, the man would go first. LOL My car has never lied to me. Or cheated on me. Or hit me. Or drank away the rent.

Oh God, daggar's right. I AM bitter...:nonono:

I have owned my car since 1996, and it has outlasted every single one of my relationships excluding my current marriage. i told her that if she wants the car gone, i go with it. its not that im in love with the car that much, its kinda the principal of her trying to get me to get rid of something i have a passion for.

A good car is hard to find... women they're all evil so who cares... the next one will be as much of a bitch as the last one... am I bitter too?

i have had my car since i could say it was mine(like2) so it holds a value in my life. yes it could be bought but it would be almost double the value. i dont even drive it that much but it will not go anytime anywhere for a woman. the only other way i would sell it is if i have a kid that i need the money despirately for the kid. like medical problems or something of that nature.

What about C: both. With my new project in pieces I kind of thinking of selling it (never would though).

I was thinkin about getting rid of mine, but 4 years later, the motor is together, the car is at work geting the roll cage welded..... im getting close on this finally!

I would get rid of mine before my girlfriend just because she has been around longer than the car, but if she ever told me I had to get rid of it she would be gone. So I guess in a way she would go first:shrug: She would never let me sell it though she wouldnt want to go looking for a new one.

I voted that the car would go before my woman however (comma) like anything else, it would totally dpend on the circumstances.

An ultimatum for instance... *kiss* See ya honey.

For the good of the family... *kiss* Goodbye dear KB blown Stroker. *sniff* *cry* *sobb*

Exactly...Well all, except for the KB Blown Sroker. ;)
I can't ever imagine my wife asking me to get rid of the car. However, if the time came, it would be for an obvious reason...to both of us. It would be tough to get rid of this one to have nothing replace it. But it could be done if reasons were decent enough.

The answer is simple....if your woman would want you to part with your car, she has to go, because she focuses on material things too much and she's jealous of the car, therefore she's probably not the one and needs to go. That doesn't mean you're choosing the car over the girl, more that the girl is pointing out her shallowness and needs to go because of that.

Ask me this question 10 years ago and my girlfriend (whoever it was at the time) would have been gone way before my car. Now that I am married, I wouldn't hesitate to get rid of my car for my wife. A car is a material item that has a value, to me, my wife is invaluable. .......

EDIT: I agree with Dags, my wife would never make me get rid of my car but I would galdly do so if it was needed for her health, etc.

Marriage changes a lot of things....the part you stated about a wife never making you do such a thing is how it really should be. I meant more for a girlfriend type of relationship.

I just had to deal with this same question, sort of. I had my Cobra for 3 years, put alot of money in it and built it the way i wanted from bone stock to bad ass street car. Soon after my family(wife and 2 kids) ran into some financial woes. I did everything I could to get out of the jam but the only solutuion I was left with was to sell the cobra, so I did. Yes I miss it but with some of the money I made off it I bought my 5.0 for a good price. I really like this car and although it may sound crazy to Cobra owners but I have more fun driving this car than the cobra so In a way I made out and im not upset about what I did. So if it was for a women alone then hell no Im keeping the car but if your family needs then you do what you have to do.
