Me- 95 gt , 4.10s, headers, h pipe, 347, tf stage 1 cam, thumper heads, KB Flowzilla, c/l 73 mm maf, 70mm t.b. 24 lb. injectors, aode- transgo, 3000 edge converter...

Them-03-04 Cobra, usual bolt ons, upgraded pulley, xpipe, cai.

So from a roll and dead stop, who would win?

Just curious, thanx..

the cobra... from a dig and roll.

Why? Well, you got a KB and a very basic c/i... thats cool! :nice: good for MAYBE 400 hp (give or take)

Terminator cobras are known to put down 400 hp TO THE WHEEL stock. pulley upgrade and exhaust and they are looking at 500+ RWHP...

meh... am I missing anything that might make you think otherwise?

Wellll.... first off you're gonna blow that Kenny Bell off your intake with detonation. For a 347 with a s/c you'll need at least 42# injectors and some kind of blow through MAF. Not to mention an in tank and probably also an inline fuel pump.

The AODE will chew itself up dealing with that much torque all the time.

Those heads are gonna choke the hell out of a 347.

With a 4.10 rear end, a 347, and a kenne bell, you will never put the power to the ground anyway unless you're on slicks all the time. So add a new diff and axles too.

No offense, but this is definately NOT a good combo. Just buy the '03.

And to poney power 89... what the hell '03 cobra is putting down 400 to the wheel stock? They are rated at 390 at the fly stock. Even if they are underrated, there is no way they're getting 400 at the wheel in stock form. 400 at the wheels is like 460-470 at the fly. I don't think they underrated them by 70 HP. And adding a pulley and exhaust gets them 100+ rw??? Prove that one.

Its a mid-low 12 second runner. A properly thought and tuned NA 302 can beat one. There are a couple guys on here that have dipped into the 11s on 302s and 306s, with street manners. Who cares about peak horsepower?

I'm looking at a time slip I have from from October '04 when I raced against an '03 Cobra. I don't believe it but he claimed his car was all stock. It did look and sound that way. He ran an 11.129 @ 122.86 and got sent home. I was very impressed.

I'll bet my car that that Cobra was modified. In fact, that sounds like a great sleeper to me, which is my kind of car!

I believe Jesse, yellow1995cobra, had a '03 cobra with axles, slicks, a ported blower, pullied, and the rest and was running 11.5x at some MPH, and he's no stranger to the driving game.

In terms of adding a K and N and seeing 400 rwhp, well I won't believe it till I see it. Maybe that person also added a nasty tune???

no tune on said girls coby yet as she wants a poolie before she gets a tune.

Then again the STL 03's won the WFC class...there are prob. 5+ that run sub 10's and a bunch in the 11's. Nitrous pete's old car is around here too with a turbo.

The AODE would probably hold up fine...with a good converter (Edge Racing "Street Edge" would do you great), a shift kit, a manual valve body, and a transmission cooler. It actually makes a pretty killer street/strip transmission with those modifications (around $1000 into it), and it'd be pretty fun launching on sticky tires with a 347/KB and a high stall (you'd probably want more than 3500 with that combo).

Don't know much about 347s or KBs, but I'd imagine that a blown 347, tuned well, would be able to roll with those high horsepower Cobras pretty easily. :D

Yeah that is a pretty terrible combo. With heads that small and a cam and intake that small, i would bet that thing could barely muster 380rwhp. Plus im almost over running my 24# injectors with a standard H/C/I combo, i cant believe your car will get near enough fuel with those. YOu are gonna melt your shortblock before you get out of second gear.
