Who's running a T5 with a lot of power

Mine has held up to some brutal launches on slicks and nitrous for a long time but it shows it's starting to let me know that it is not happy with what I put it through but it is still going strong with over 115K on it.

mines holding up so far and believe it or not i'm still on the stock clutch too  it's only been to the track twice though once on et streets and once on drag radials but more passes are to come this year !

Yeah, yeah, yeah... I'll believe it when I see it!!!

My T5 didn't hold up with the near stock motor and I never really powershifted it nor did I run on slicks. I have a little over $2000 in my TKO swap.

lets just say i'm still running on my stock V6 T5 with 5k Clutch Drops and it still likes me...Thats on drag radials... But I don't put a whole lot of trust in it.. Thats what I got a 99+ V6 T5 sitting around since they can handle little over 300ft lbs for torque... Figured be a little bandaid till I get a TKO from X2C..... 99+ V6 Tranny is easy... just swap tail shaft housings and put the internal drive gear over to it...

Mine is already making funny noises with the setup I have, so I'm guessing I won't have any luck trying to keep it if I add boost. This hobby gets expensive fast. If I get a new tranny, I'll have more money into my car than I paid for it (this is why you don't total up the money spent on mods...).

Mines got 116,000 miles on it along w/ the stock clutch. At some point in the future I plan on putting about 350 to the rear wheels so I'll see how it holds up then. Mines had a pretty easy street life, just one trip to the track about 4 runs. I have my fun w/ it on the street but I dont beat on it.

my g-force tranny is done. i just gotta put it back in. I'll tell you how the tranny holds up with a 150 wet shot this summer. Technically its still a T-5.... :D

Hey let us know how the g-foprce works out. I don't know of anyone running one around here yet, but I've really interested. It seems like a cheaper (and lighter) alternative to a TKO or T56.

Mine has held up great, But i didnt really have that much power.. That will soon change though. I think the lighter you can get your car, the longer the driveline is gonna last.

Once the turbo goes on, i plan to take it easy on the 2nd-3rd shift until i have money for a TKO. That seems the be the t5 buster.

I used my stock tranny all last year on MT Drags. It has 126k miles on it. I did 4.5+ grand launches each time i went to the track (6 or so times/average 5 runs per night). I also did nitrous launches which netted me a couple low 1.6x 60's.

Actually i broke an axle this year but my tranny is still holding strong.. (shouldn't have said that :bang: )

Im sure its a matter of time but I will deal with that when i get to it...

My T-5 lasted 1 month after I did all the upgrades in my sig. I didnt even use NOS when it broke. I was screwing around on a back road, and broke 3rd gear which in turn took out other gears, I put in a tremec 3550 and seems to work fine.
