Why do i have a 3.0L taurus computer in my stang haha

Ok so i take out my computer to start my mass air conversion and i look on my computer to see if it had like a chip in it or something and i see the sticker that covers the opening for a chip says "3.0L TAURUS/SABLE USE ONLY"!!!! I was like UHHHHHHH. I matched it up to my new mass air computer and its like 1-2 inches shorter, way different shape and design and has hex head screws in it rather torx. Anybody ever hear of this before!!! I wouldnt even think a v6 3.0L computer would work in a V8 car.

Modular 2V, How does the 6 vs 8 cylinder part work?

This is not the first time someone has posted seeing a Taurus puter in their early aero fox either. strange.

I bought a bunch of parts off a guy who switched to carb and the computer he gave me is off a sable also.... i dunno how it worked but I later found a A9p

The cpu i got looked exactly like a fox cpu but just had a different lable on it

so do the tauraus computers work on the mass air cars ???? or only on sd?

SD cars arent sequential injected right? Thats why it works......doesnt matter how many cylinders with batch fire.

I actually had the EXACT SAME moment of surprise when I pulled my eec out. It said taurus/sable only. The car apartenly ran so I shrugged and stuck it back in. Got good milage and power but it always seemed to be a bit flaky. Maybe this is why,
