Why Does My Car Slow Down After Every Run? PS Pump Sounds too..

I go to my local 1/8 mile drag strip every Tues. for street legal racing. I always get my fastest run as my first run of the night. My car gets progressively slower. It will even slow down if the air is cooler... My temp gauge stays the same. Is my tranny getting too hot, would a cooler help? Also, my PS pump makes a weird sound every now and then that lasts about 3 seconds, like a buzzing. Is it replace time..?

dunno, but i went to track tonight and my first run was fastest and the got progressivly slower, and my temp gauge also stayed the same.

Try an aftermarket temperature guage. Even though the guage says the car is at the same temperature before and after the run, common sense tells you it is definitely going to be hotter. Try icing your intake after your first run and then see what happens.
