Ok guys, here is one nobody has talked about yet. I got it off ebay but I can't find one for sale at the moment. This spring compressor bolts in place of the shock to the coil spring saddle and the shock tower cap and it has a nut at the top. If you guys wana see pictures of it then I'd be more then happy to take a few snap shots.

you cannot remove the perch without removing the spring or at least compressing the spring enough to raise it off the perch. In HHstang's case, he was asking if the perches needed to be removed to take out the spring, and the answer is no. He would, for all practical purposes, have to remove the spring to remove the perch, so its a moot point. Additionally, the perches do not need to be removed to re-install the spring, but the perches do need to be installed prior to installing the spring, if they are to be removed or replaced.
