why is my CAI so loud!!

I just put the Demolet intake kit on my 96GT and it has a constant hiss that comes in the cabin at idle. Actually annoyoing as hell. I have an X-pipe and cat back, and this hissing sound overtakes everything at idle. I am dissapointed with this. I had a 1999 GT with a densecharger, and no hiss at idle period! Why did the 99 sound so good, and the 96 with this loud hissing??
