I had my 17x8 ROH Snypers for the rear widened to 17x9.5 by Weldcraft in Michigan. Cost was $175 per wheel. Their number is 734-420-2211. They seemed to have done a pretty good job. I have yet to mount the wheels on the car yet but here are some pics.

Wow, that looks real good. I love those rims. One question though, couldn't you have fit larger than a 275 on a 10.5" wide rim?

The rim is 9.5"...not 10.5". You don't count 1/2" on either side.

For that price, wouldnt it have just been cheaper to buy new rims??? you could have sold the 17x8s then.
just curious.....

Damn, didn't realize it was at the edge of both sides. I still thought you would be able to to fit larger tires on there then that. Was that just preference? Don't people put 275's on 8 inch wide wheels?

couldn't find anything better to do w/ $350? wow, that's crazy. Yeah, people put 275's on 8" wheels, but it's not recommended

Could not find any 9.5" wheels with the correct backspacing/offset to fit being that I am using a rear disc set up from a MK7

Sure I could have slapped a 315 on there but it is not really recommended nor do I have any room in the fender well for any tire "buldging". It is very tight in there being that I am using Eibach Sportline springs.

I need as much traction as possible. No need to have so much hp/tq and can't put it to the ground. I figured this would help.
