I wanna know what tire, sized 315/35/17 looks the widest on a 10.5" rim. I wanna get 17" DD Fr500's for the rear and I want the widest fitting/looking tire for the rear. Any opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

BFG KD tires look wider than almost all tires the same size.... and they get damn good dry traction. a few guys on here have them in 315/35/17 and they just look soooo beastly.

BFG or Michelin run the widest. BFG is owned by Michelin btw so they are French tires made in the US or Canada. they always run large.

My first set for my DD Bullitts were 335/35/17s, and they looked as good as a set of 275s on an 8" rim. Only thing I had to do to get them to fit was flip my quad shocks over. I'd reccomend doing that, or getting the KDW2s in 315 flavor. Those are pretty, but don't hang over as much as a set of KD's.

MAST aka Michelin Americas Small Tires( BFG and Uniroyal who are owned by Michelin).

As for which looks wider, I really can't say.

My 285 toyo t1-r's measure 11.5 wide. Not too bad for 285's.

Agreed though, if I were to buy tires right now, id go with BFG's t/a kdw. Nice tread pattern too.

Those are freaking big but I don't think they're are wider than the GSD3's. Mine are nearly 13" wide.

Thanks for the compliment.

The BFG KD are quite wide indeed for a 315, and I would suspect they are virtually equal to the Goodyear GSD3...at least incredibly close. It depends on what type of a tread pattern you want as well. I opted for the KD as it is similar to some of the DR treads, but with more grooves in case I get caught in the rain coming home from a show. Here are a couple more shots of the BFG KD for reference.

I love that last shot as you can see how they sit completely flush with the fender lip which was the goal when I purchased my 10.5" rims...no spacers required.

Now I wanna get 18's in the back DD Bullets and a i wanna know if the 345/30/18 BFG DR's will fit on a 10.5 rim. If so, what modifications will i have to make in order for them to fit on the rear of my car such as spacers or something, I know i will most likely have to massage the rear fenderwells.
