I am looking for pictures of the lowest Mustangs with the widest tires. I am planning my latest project. Looking for an early coupe. Planning on Heidts narrowed font end, narrowed rear end with mini tubs and springs moved inboard, weber downdrafts on a stroker. Help me out with some pictures and ideas. Thanks, Carl.

narrowed font end

HUH?

Ok, but this doesn't change the amount of rubber that fits the car, it changes the backspacing needed on the wheel that holds the rubber

Uh, ok...so which is it? Mini tubbing it or moving the suspension around like you would for just plain old regular tubs?

What does this have to do with fitting tires?

245 40 17 front

17x7's and 17 x 11's with 5" of backspacing with a shorter rear end.

Pics and a description of mods performed are completely and utterly necessary for me to believe you had 20 x 10's in the front on any Mustang prior to the Fox body cars. If it was a Fox body or later, cool, but not really applicable here.

check out how this guy tubbed the rear

I think he is going for 22s?

warning: not for the faint of heart. This guy cuts out lots of sheet metal to run a cage right under the exterior skin . . .

In reply to Dodgestang. Heidts makes a 2" narrower front end kit to allow for more tire without having to use a wheel with more positive offset. I have built pro-street cars. Not what I am looking for here. By moving the suspension inboard and widening the stock wheel houses I can maintain the rear seat and don't need a fuel cell. Also by narrowing the rear axle I can use a deeper dish wheel with less positive offset. A better look in my mind. Just looking for pictures and specs.
