I have a 96 Mustang GT 5 speed. The problem I have is that when I first start of in first or second there is a whining/chirping sound coming from the rear of my car. It only lasts a second and then is over and doesnt do it again til I stop and go again. Has this happened to anybody else? I was wondering if it was something serious or something that can wait. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Wow. That could be so much stuff. U-joints, rear end pinion bearing, transmission mounts, motor mounts, clutch throw out bearing, dragging rear brakes (check slid pins), are just a few that come quickly to mind.
Suggest getting up under the car and look around. More information to pinpoint the location of the sound would help.
