Not with out using tubs and/or fender flairs. I believe you would also have to move frame rails in board.

I got 8 1/2" width under mine (3.75 backspace) with no lip and minor work on the shock mount plate. The rear is narrowed 1/2" each side.

Others?

It will be close on a 1970, but there is an entry on my chart for a 17x9.5 installed with 275s and no fenders rolled which means there is a little more room and a resourceful person could put them on.

69-70 have ALOT more room than a 65-6 and what historic says is true for those years.

Here is a direct link to my 69-70 chart so you can see what combos people are currently running that work for those years.

The trick is the backspacing. Just buying a used set of 15x10 you would have a VERY VERY low chance of them fitting IMO. You will most likely need custom backspacing of 6 or 6.5 to get them in and under the fender, you can always measure the BS on the wheels you are looking at before purchse to see if they might eve be close.

Yes, my bad. I mis-read and thought you had a 65-66. Later years are a little more forgiving. Thanks for catching, dodgestang.
