will 3 core rad fit ???

will a two or three core rad for an automatic fit with stock fan and overflow tank or will i have to custom fit??? any suggestion on good budget buy???? how easy does stock fan clutch assembly come off?

The stock replacement parts from the major autoparts stores will bolt right in.

I just installed a new 3 core for www.radiator.com for $140. It was delivered the very next day and bolted right in, and instantly dropped my operating temp to 190 with A/C going at noon in Arizona!

Highly recommend it.

Some folks flip the top mounting bracket IIRC, but that seems to be about it.

i have the Ford racing 3 core rad. it fit just fine.

I just put in a stock replacement 3-row and it fits great. The fan shroud and overflow tank bolted up fine, but I may have had to leave off one of the fan shroud mounting bolts, I don't recall for sure.

Also one of the clamps that bolts down over the top of the tank doesn't sit down quite as low as it did on the stock radiator, and runs into the hood insulation a little bit, so I have to shut the hood a little harder.

But overall, yeah, a stock replacement 3-row will fit great.

Good to hear you got it in there.

Double check that the rubber insulator is properly seated. It should be sitting like stock.

I'll take another look and make sure everything is seated correctly. It was a couple months ago I got the radiator in, but if I remember, the "width" of the side tanks (distance front to back as it sits in the car) is a little greater than the stock radiator, which stopped the rubber insulator from fitting down over it quite right. It's pretty close though. I'll take a closer look when I'm under the hood this weekend.

Actually, now I remember having the same issue.

I ended up trimming the rubber insulator enough to let it sit properly, if memory serves.

I put 3-rows in ALL my 5.0's - I seem to find cheap ones on EBAY for 110.00 or so with shipping every once in a while and they are all metal - good quality! no fit problems - all of them have fittings for automatic and come plugged for 5spd

My OEM-style 3-core dropped right in, just had to trim the top and bottom rubber insulators a tad to make it sit right, and I had to bend the brackets a little to make it clamp things down into place safely - didn't want my radiator bouncing around in there.
