will 89 tbird A arms and spindles work on 85 GT???

posted this earlier today, I guess some admin deleted it, because I cannot find it. I have a 85 gt with nothing up front but a K member. It is at a buds house and I need to get it to mine. I have a 87 tbird in my yard that I can score parts if they will work. Does anybody know what interchanges if any between the two. It looks like it is same a arms and strut setup as mustang, I just dont want to be S.O.L after I take it off and I get ot his house and the junk dont fit. Any help please. OH and do not delete this thread.

Is it an '87 or '89 T-bird? You listed both.

'89 will def not work, but i beleive '87 will. Not 100% sure thoug

There are similarities, what I would do first is to measure the "k" frame on the mustang where the lower arms bolt and compare that to the yardbird. There are subtle differences between years on mustangs also..I would try to find somebody that has the mustang performance book, it gives the dimensional differences on specific years....I found out the hard way. Found a sweet deal on some SVO lower arms, bought the book a couple of days later, SVO arms are NOT rebuildable and ARE ~.75" wider than my 88gt..now I have some cool looking SVO arms wasting space...

If anyone can prove me wrong on rebuilding the SVO arms...pm me..
