I own an '83 GLX and it originally came with a V6 auto, but its now a 5.0 5-speed...So i recently found out that the previous owner never took the time to change the rear end to an 8.8 and just left it as the 6cylinder 7.5 rear end....The thing is im on a really tight budget, and I dont have the money to switch to an 8.8 anytime soon so i wanted to know for the time being Do you think the stock 7.5 will hold up to the power of my 5.0???? I dont think my motor is very powerful, but its definately not weak...So do ya think it will hold up???
