I have noo idea about the aod shifter...However, I put an aod in my 66 and used the stock shifter, with the aod linkage. I tweaked the linkage a little bit and redrilled a hole farther up on the shifter and trimmed an inch off the bottom. One problem, since I moved the fulcrum up I can't touch the gears lower than drive. Soo if I had to do it again I'd try to make the linkage work in the stock shifter hole. Maybe that helps, I don't know.
