will a 99 8.8 fit under an 88

looked around havent seen an answer really ,but just wondering will the rear end out of an 99 gt fit under an 88?I AM THINKING FROM WHAT I HAVE READ that it will be 1/2 an inch wider on both sides is that it though?

It will fit, but the backspacing on the wheels will need to be changed to keep the wheels under the car correctly.

Nearly 1.25" wider EACH side.

The housing on the 99=04 axle is wider than the 86-98 axles. The LCA mount holes are also a different size than the 86-98 axle. Also you'll need to fab up a brake line


It can work, but you gotta pay attention to wheel offset and BS
