Any K.B guys out there running a Steeda strut tower brace on their 99-04 Gt's? Does it (k.b) fit under the brace? If so how much room is there? And does the intake tube rub on the strut bar? Thanks in advance guys Jones out..........

I don't think it will....my buddy had to remove his. I never had one in the first place.

If memory serves correct, the only STB that fits is one designed for the '03/04 Cobras...not sure which brand though....and not too sure that it would be a direct bolt-in for a GT either.

I've more or less given up on the idea.

No

And her is what KB has to say about it...
Must I remove the Cobra 4.6 strut brace from my Mustang? Yes. And good riddance. It did nothing to strengthen the chassis. Ford engineers will verify this. It was included only for looks! On the '96-'98 cars the "bump" in the inlet tube that was necessary to accommodate the brace resulted in an 8HP loss. Need proof? It was eliminated on all of the '99 up Cobra's - and anyone knowledgeable in chassis design will tell you that the strut brace was also worthless on all the '86-'93 cars. Just another product that sounds good in theory but does nothing.

I was just down at Maximum Motorsports last week and according to them since the KB moves the throttle body there is not a strut tower brace on the market that will fit. I have seen a couple that have had the passanger side tube cut off and replaced with on that is bent to clear.
