Will aftermarket clutch / flywheel void the warranty?

brake's arn't covered under warrenty(the calipers are though), so your free to do whatever you want with the pads/rotors.
I hope i can say this clearly enough.
Nothing Can "Void" your warrenty.
Let me explain this.
Consider your powertrain warrenty. it covers Everything in your powertrain. To void it would mean, if you buy wheels, and your rear axle falls off. your warrenty is void so to speak because of the new wheels.
- Unless the dealer can Specifically prove that because you bought X wheels, that weighed --- 60lbs each without rubber. the added rotational mass exceeded the limits yada yada, your axle pops off.. Then your out of luck. But if a mount had weak welds. and that was the cause -- then your wheels have nothing to do with the failure. So in other words. Your warrenty is not Void, and the dealer must cover the damage
in your warrenty fine print, you'll find exerts saying aftermarket items pertaining to the failure of an item will not be covered.
So To answer your question without so much mumbling.
If you have a clutch and flywheel, and you break a driveline, or transmission. Unless they can specifically prove that the clutch cause the faliure, your clear..
Now, if you have added a supercharger, with strong clutch. Well, a 5000rpm drop, with drag radials, etc etc, your clutch doesn't slip - and something breaks. Then they can point at the mod's.
If your clutch ever fails due to wear or any other reason. You are out of luck.

If it was my vehicle. I would not worry about it. I would ask for the reciepts for the 2 items though, because those manufacturer's have their own warrenties!

Dealerships will do what they want when they please. I worked at one for 5 years and speaking from experience its really who you know. I hit a huge chunk of asphalt in the roadway and my exhaust hanger became lose making a noise. There was no visible damage to it so I never brought up the circumstances of what happened, and wa-la new exhaust hanger. I have a supercharger on my car and if the motor fails theres going to be one less supercharger when it goes into the shop. In your case lets say your transmission has an internal problem, which would have nothing to do with your clutch and flywheel. Therefore the only thing that would not be covered is the aftermarket part. Which is far better than factory anyway. You really have nothing to worry about.
And it would depend on how much he wanted to sell the brakes for but as a warranty issue pads and rotors are not covered unless they have a malfuntion because they are considered a normal wear part. Same goes for tires, oil, windshield fluid, and filters etc.

I agree with the others, it's who you know at the dealership. It's truly up to them.
I think I would be more concerned about the fact that it's an 07 and it already needs a new clutch.
Sounds like someone's been raw hidin' that thing.

Yes, an aluminum flywheel is in my future as well when it comes time for a new clutch.. But I just consider it a mod you do when your stock clutch goes instead of upgrading the clutch while your doing the aluminum flywheel.
The only mod the car has is the flywheel/clutch, that's unsual for a first mod.

This is the story I was told.
The car has a shorty shifter, Magnaflow full exhaust, H pipe, the flywheel and clutch so far. He bought the car for his Dad and they were beginning to mod it. He put the clutch and flywheel because a KennyBell and lower-end build was next on the list. But, his Dad died during this and he just doesn't like looking at the car. Too much emotion involved.
Oh, the check engine light is on at the moment. He said it was from putting on the H-pipe and would have a new Steeda sensor put on to make sure the light went off before I buy it. Anyone else heard of this?

I don't see anything to be afraid of. The check engine light is most likely from the h-pipe as he said. It is true that he can get rid of the light with an MIL eliminator, although you really should plan on getting a tune/handheld programmer which also takes care of that and a whole lot more. I drive my car like a Mustang GT not a Hyundai, I don't feel like I am beating on it. A clutch/flywheel upgrade is something I would like to do in the near future and my car only has 9000 miles.
