Will an f-cam pass emissions?? compared t an e-cam?

I know that the e-cam is emissions legal...but will an f-cam pass as well...with all smog equipment hooked up? reason is hat im looking for a cam that is somewhat emissions legal....that has a nice lopey idle to it and more power..i know the f cam sounds a little better that the e-cam...does anyone have any sound clips...also how complicated is the install??

whats your email address i can send you a vid. clip of mine....

id say no on passing the sniffer but it all depends on the standards of the state you are in. what will hurt emissions is the duration and overlap. if im not mistaken alot of overlap and narrow lobe sepperation actually allows unburt fuel into the exhaust. but.......i have heard of guys using a anderson PMS or a tweecer and getting just about any cam to pass sometimes even with no cats.

i really like my f-cam even in N/A form my car pulls insane above 3k rpm. im going with a novi 1000 with a 10lb pulley and a 100 shot. with that i should be well in the mid to high 400hp range like i was with my procharger with 10 pounds of boost before i sold it

thanks...send it to [email protected]

mine passed with no problems at all.. i had to put the stock h-pipe on for the test but that wasnt to much of a hassle.. im also in PA and pretty close to philly so the emissions standards are pretty high

I live in Ontario Canada and the emission standards are brutal. I have an F cam, with high flow cats, fuel pressure backed off (about 35psi) and timing set to stock was able to pass the test this year. Up here we have an idle test also not sure about you down there, that was the hard one to pass, but did barely.
