These are my plans for hitting 300rwhp.

1. L/T headers
2. Catted H-pipe
3. American Thunder Cat-Back
4. U/D pulleys
5. K&N FPIK Gen II
6. Computer Tune
7. Accufab Plenum
8. Accufab Throttle Body

Will i hit 300rwhp?

With my automatic, I dynoed at 249 rwhp (see list of mods below). It would have been 259 rwhp with a 5-speed. I believe that I added another 6-8 rwhp with my new Magnaflow catbacks. 300 rwhp will take custom cams and/or p&p heads.

Without a power adder of some sort or internal motor work, you will not see 300rwhp on a 2v 4.6ltr Modular V8 found in our Mustangs. Now, if you decide to go with VT Engine stage 2 N/A cams, full length exhuast, a bit of intake work, pullies, and a dyno tune, then yeah, you "might" hit 300rwhp. Then again, you may only come close.

As the guys said above, best bang for the buck is a power adder for quick power, however, if your motor isn't built to support the power adder, rest assured, the motor will be on borrowed time. Just thought I'de give you that heads up warning.

You could put an LS1 in it and start with 300 RWHP. :rlaugh: :lol: :nice:

It's a shame the LS1 isn't Fords motor. That motor is sick. :(

I would love to have a GT with an LS1. Then put a cam, longtubes, and a lid on the bitch and have 400 RWHP. :) If only somebody else would do the work. :nice:

I agree with all you guys , here is how I see it.

L. Tubes = 15hp
Midpipe = 9hp
Catback = 5hp
Pulleys = 5hp
Filter = 4hp
Tune = 10hp
Plenum & TB = 12hp
EQUALS = 60hp + 260hp = 320hp X .85% = 272 RWHP

This is assuming a 15% drivetrain loss. Hey 320 at the fly ain't bad. Should be able to stomp most of what is out there. :D

With these mods on my 01: Steeda CAI, Accufab T/B & Plenum, Steeda Intake Spacer, VT Stage 1 Cams, Steeda Underdrive Pulleys, Steeda Timing Adjuster, Bassani O/R Xpipe, Steeda Stainless Cat Back, 3:73's, Superchips tuned by Steeda my car makes 284RWHP and 302RWTQ.

You are going on GUESTIMATES, you'll never pull that much HP out of each one
